We are so excited about adding the Tennesee Meat Goats™ (TMGs) to our farm. They have been so easy to handle and work with. TMGs are one of the largest & most heavily muscled lines of the Myotonic goats. Crossing a TMG buck on commercial Boer does will add 6% to 10% more meat on the kids. In addition to more meat you get kids that are born with smaller heads and shoulders -resulting in easier births (a real plus for first time does). You can enjoy the hybrid vigor of the myotonic crosses as they consistently are excellent mothers, easy kidders, grow more meat, are colorful and not fence climbers. Anther plus is the bucks are so gentle. If you are intimidated by the large Boer bucks or if you are concerned about your children being around a more aggressive animal a Myontic buck may be a good choice for you. You can have a buck that is easy to handle and will still do the job in improving your meat herd.
